After an early career that covered plastics, mechanical engineering, prototyping and toy design, Tony trained as an industrial designer.

After three years producing furniture and lighting designs in New York he moved into design management, initially working for the Design Council in London. In 1988 he was appointed head of design at British Rail, running a team responsible for all aspects of the national network’s corporate identity, graphics, product and rolling stock design.

Tony went on to become the director of the Transport Design Consortium, a group of multidisciplinary design consultants working on large scale international transport projects.

After working as an independent consultant on transport related design projects in Europe and East Asia, Tony became managing director of leading UK design and branding consultants Roundel, servicing a mix of clients across the fields of industry, transport, science and retail.

Now with TDC, the company he formed in 2006, Tony continues to work as a consultant on brand identity, passenger information, product and environmental design for major transport infrastructure projects in cities as diverse as Dubai, Sydney, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Bangalore, Jakarta, Singapore, and London.
